The Women's Ministry of the First United Methodist Church of Hooks, Texas, would like to express our heartfelt appreciation and thanks to the many members and former members of our church, as well as our friends in the community, who gave so generously of their time and energy in sharing their favorite recipes with us. We have strived to have a broad variety of recipes from everyday practical cooking to the unusual with new methods that would be a challenge and fun to try. Without everyone's gracious help, this book would not be a reality. We hope that everyone will have as much fun using it as we have had in putting it together for you.
