The Hooks Children's Ministry was organized to help the needs in our community. The main focus of the organization is on the children. The organization pays for eye exams, glasses, ritalin, doctor visits, clothes, shoes, coats, school supplies all during the year. When funds are available, utilities, groceries, pharmacy bills are paid. Burn-outs are helped. At Christmas time, food, clothes and toys are provided for approximately 140 children each year. Food baskets are made for the shut-ins in the local churches at Christmas. The organization is also involved with the Telford Prison Angels, helping 12 children each year.
The organization is funded by the local churches, fund raisers and different organizations. The money donated goes 100% on the children. There are no paid salaries in this organization.
Senior citizens who are on fixed income are helped during the year and at
Christmas.
